Fabulous and rare huge Schreiner piece which can be used as a hair barrette or a clip/pendant (try it as a pendant asymmetrically on one side of a multistrand beaded or rhinestone strand necklace). Circa 1970. Made in silvertone metal with colorless openback and unfoiled cabochon and faceted stones as well as small backed stones. The two strands are flexible. Key Schreiner construction elements include: inverted faceted stones (set upside down); crimped back settings on stones, dogtooth prongs, and "hook and eye" back construction. Great size -- 4 inches wide and 4 inches long. Excellent condition. Photos enlarged to show detail.
