Beautiful modernist signed Yves Saint Laurent beaded bib necklace with a large goldtone metal center element with a hammered texture, and very large cabochon glass stones simulating banded agate and garnets. With marbled Lucite beads simulating carved carnelian. Constructed in classic French couture fashion, with the beads strung on fine goldtone metal chains, allowing the strands to drape gracefully and flexibly. With YSL hangtag at the hook clasp and also marked YSL on the back of the center element. 1970s or 1980s. Very wearable for day or evening and perfectly of the moment; the statement necklace is the "it" accessory of the season. Wearable length (shortest strand) is 19 inches. Center drops 3 1/2 inches.
