Amazing shoulder sweeping clip earrings made from glittering purple glass faceted beads with an iridescent finish, probably Swarovski, and with brilliant matching large purple rhinestones at the tops, in dark coppery gunmetal japanned settings. Most likely Italian, circa 1965 or 1975, in the style of Coppola e Toppo. Possibly unsigned Coppola e Toppo, with their distinctive style of weaving glass beads with fine filament. The color is warmer than the photos show. Photos are not capturing these fabulous earrings. Great size -- 5 inches long and 1 3/8 inches wide. Excellent condition. Photos enlarged to show detail. Fabulous statement size and the color is completely on trend.
