Very weighty and substantial vintage couture chain belt with camellia flower form elements, glass based faux pearl drops, and heavy twisted chain links. 1980s, from an estate with a great deal of signed designer jewelry. This piece is most likely unsigned Chanel based on the camellia forms, the quality, and the construction. I've seen signed Chanel earrings with the exact camellia form elements. Also, the pearl drops are constructed in the same way as the drops on the signed Chanel earrings I have listed. The chain links are made from two strands twisted together, one smooth and one fluted. This also can be worn as an asymmetrical necklace as shown. A fabulous piece in a great size and perfectly of the moment; statement jewelry is a key current trend. Wearable length is 39 inches.
