Fabulous 1970s signed Gucci goldtone metal and light and dark amber geometric modernist design guilloche enameled link long necklace which can also be worn as a belt. Marked GUCCI and MADE IN ITALY. Each link is also marked S in a lozenge shape. 1970s. An iconic vintage Gucci piece, these were also made in shorter (18 to 20 inch) but otherwise identical versions to be worn as necklaces only. The enameled links are slightly convex and curved. They alternate with heavy twisted connecting rings. With a toggle close. Total length is 39 inches. Wearable length is 35 1/2 inches from the first small ring. The small rings are 5/8 inch wide. The enamel link third from the end ring has some small losses to the enamel surface (pictured), possibly from wear from the bar of the toggle because it falls at this link when worn as a belt. The losses are not noticeable at a short distance and the piece can be worn as is or the link could be removed easily. Price is significantly adjusted to reflect this small imperfection.
