Antique Victorian, late 19th century, 9 karat gold bracelet with hollow links with repousse hammered decoration on the fronts of alternating groups of links, with matching heart shaped detachable clasp, and attached safety chain. The backs of the links are plain and the bracelet is a reversible "night and day" piece. The heart, and one end link of the bracelet are marked 9.C., which is the English designation for 9 karat gold. 7 1/2 inches wearable length and 1/4 inch wide. The heart clasp is 1 inch long. It weighs 10 grams. Excellent condition with no dents. It appears to be yellow gold with a rose gold wash or plating. The heart has a small spot on the back, upper left, where the rose gold color is worn or lost. This doesn’t show from the front. The small area of loss is a darker yellow gold color. It is not uncommon for antique pieces to have a plating of higher karat or in this case, different color gold. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.
