Fabulous signed Gucci goldtone metal and orange and blue guilloche enameled link long necklace which can also be worn as a belt. Marked GUCCI and MADE IN ITALY. Each link is also marked S in a lozenge shape. 1970s. An iconic vintage Gucci piece, these were also made in shorter (18 to 20 inch) but otherwise identical versions to be worn as necklaces only. The enameled links are slightly convex and curved. They alternate with heavy double twisted connecting rings. With a toggle close. Also with a smaller ring 8 inches in from the large end ring. Total length is 39 inches. Wearable length is 36 inches from the first small ring and 31 inches from the attached small ring. The links are 1/2 inch wide and the small rings are 3/4 inch wide. Excellent condition. Two tiny manufacturing flaws to the enameling, one on a blue and one on an orange link. Also some very slight surface crazing to the lacquer finish on one blue link. Price is significantly adjusted to reflect these tiny imperfections. Photos enlarged to show detail. Display form is life size.
