Beautiful unsigned Chanel necklace, 1980s, with lengths of heavy sculpted goldtone metal chain links and elements alternating with handknotted large white baroque Gripoix glass faux pearls. Very heavy and finely made. It weighs 227 grams. The form, a long sautoir with handknotted pearls alternating with chain, and the materials and construction, are Chanel standard. These necklaces typically are signed with an attached metal hang tag. Continuous strand with no clasp and long enough to wear doubled. Great to wear alone or layer with other sautoirs. 42 inches long. The pearls are just under 1/2 inch in diameter. The chains are just under 1/2 inch wide. Very good condition. There are small losses to the metal finish on the end links of the chains in three spots. There are several pin hole sized flea bites on the pearls, scattered, and 2 mm size losses to 4 pearls and one 5 mm loss to one pearl at the knot. These tiny losses are pictured but not noticeable at a short distance and price has been adjusted to reflect them. Display form is life size. Photos enlarged to show detail.
